Getting back into the office again after the festive season is never something to look forward to. However, what you wear does not have to add to the doom and gloom. There are plenty of ways to liven up your January wardrobe collection and bring some much-needed fun back to your days.
Whether you work in an office and need a more formal selection of ensembles or have an outdoor or remote working lifestyle and can dress down we can help. We are here to show you that vibrant colors can put a spring back in your step, fill you with confidence and have you looking forward to each morning outfit decision. When you feel fabulous, you can achieve more.
Let's start with Outerwear
and this is nearly always what you would be seen in first. Whereas over the Christmas Party season, dark coats hid spectacular party outfits you can now allow your coat to do the talking. Big bold colors are trending right now and make you stand out in style.
Of course, we now have to move into Shoes and Heels.
We love them — we are women and they can also bring color and fun to any outfit! Shocking pinks to leopard print flats all look fabulous so steer clear of classic blacks and nude and lets your shoes do the walking.
Do not shy away from Patterns and Prints,
they are the fasted trending style in 2018. We are going crazy for mixing and mismatching our patterns and print but for work, we suggest pairing your patterns and prints with a solid block color. You want your clients, customer, bosses, and colleagues to focus on you and not your whacky outfit.
Ruffles, Laces, and Pleats
are fantastic for bringing life to your office outfit. You can wear much bolder items with a lace overlay or pleat, and ruffles never fail to please. All of these textures have become noteworthy contenders in our work wardrobes alongside the trouser suits and starch shirts. Our only words to the wise are to not mix all three styles together. It could look quite busy.
We all have our favorite go-to pencil skirt and fitted jumper, which is fine but update your classics
and bring some new life to your style. If you like the cut of your pencil skirts, try them in different colors or with a ruffle down one side. If you feel empowered by a Blazer try to wear those with more textures or patterned.
Take a look at some of our favorite items, and the fabulous back to work outfits that we love!
