The most common figure proportion for women is the curvaceous pear shape. What that means is that the widest part of your body is below your waist, around your hips. It doesn't matter if you are tall, short, heavy, or skinny — you still be pear shaped. We are here to help you show off your curves while balancing out your smaller top half.
Let's start at the top!
With this lovely womanly figure, you want to use clothes that will balance the body to look less bottom heavy. Drawing attention to the top half, with sparkles, sequins, and scarfs is a great way to bring the eye to the top line.
Tailored shirts with high collars or embellished necklines are great for bringing the focus to the top line and allowing your curves to talk for themselves. We really like tie knots and ruffles.
Exposing your shoulders is a sure way to have all attention up top and their nakedness really balances out your killer hips. Shoulders are one of the sexiest parts of the female figure, especially for the pear-shaped figure as the rest of the body oozes sex appeal. Off the shoulder tops are ideal for you.
For outwear, stick with long jackets. They are very flattering as they can lengthening the torso, arms, and legs. Open fronted are great for the pear-shaped body.
Finish with the Bottom!
Check out tunic style dresses, they are fabulous for your figure. Ensure that you have the right size as any clinging dresses will be unflattering. Go wild with patterns and colors and have fun when choosing.
When it comes to skirts, stick with a-line or pencil skirts to display your beautiful bootylicious behind. Try to stay away from tulip, pleated or side pockets as they tend you make you look lumpy and frumpy instead of curvaceous.
Like with the hourglass figure, when it comes to pants your really want to balance out your frame so pick up flared or tailored but avoid anything capri or tapered. Skinnies can be both fabulous and a fashion faux pas. You will need to try them on and see how they look on you. The length and the width of the leg will determine whether they are suitable. We would always pair with heels to give that V shape to the bottom half.
